The Bill (Reg. No. 2400) proposes to amend the Decree of Cabinet of Ministers "On Single customs-tariff of Ukraine" by elimination of preferential terms on import custom duty (50% on imports of children articles) and the Law "On Single customs-tariff" concerning the establishment of the working apparatus functions of Customs-tariff Council by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in place of State Customs Service of Ukraine.
Committee members supported the proposals of the Cabinet of Ministers, "because privilege on the payment of import custom duty de facto does not work".
Committee members generally agreed that legislative establishment of the working apparatus functions of Customs-tariff Council by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is "absolutely righteous, because the Ministry de facto has been executing these functions during the last decade".
